One of my favorites is the reception of weather faxes on shortwave.
Even though some years ago there have been many more stations around the
world, there are still enough stations left so that one can spend realy a
lot of time monitoring the weather on the whole world.
In the section
FREQUENCIES you will find a list
of fax stations, which you will be able to receive here in Germany. I will
try to add a section with transmission schedules in a few weeks.
If you are new to this, maybe you would like to
take a look at some faxes
which I have received a while ago. These pictures were taken with my NRD-525,
a simple Hamcomm Modem , JVFax 7.1 and many cups of coffee.

links to sites where you can get software and more detailed information on
this topic.
